Attending the World Assembly for the first time was an unforgettable experience. Over five fast-paced days, I had the privilege of meeting sisters from across the globe and learning about the deeply informative and inspiring work being done in their home countries.
The theme, “Arise & Shine,” felt incredibly apt for women’s ministry in this current season. What moved me most was seeing how these women celebrated even the smallest achievements—a beautiful reminder of God’s amazing grace at work in our lives.
While all the speakers were wonderful, a personal highlight was the session “Giving Forgotten Biblical Women a Voice” by Rev. Jenny Pathmarajah. Her presentation style was uniquely catchy and engaging. As an AI newbie, her workshop on creative songwriting using AI tools was a true eye-opener. Crucially, Rev. Jenny reminded us that AI is not here to replace human creativity or theological reflection. It cannot pray, imagine, feel compassion, or interpret Scripture the way we can. Instead, it serves as an optional creative tool—one that must always be guided by our own insight, imagination, and discernment.
